I just got another email “promoting” the Storm Worm Botnet crapware (those ones claiming that you’ve just received an e-card from somebody).
The criminals behind this operation are getting more clever with each passing day.
A few days ago, they started putting an email address after the name of the person that allegedly sent it. Today, I actually got one with the “name” portion of my email address (the part before the “@” sign). Thankfully, it still hit my Spam box and will be reported as a phishing attempt.
In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, this is what these emails look like (I’ve edited this one to disable the download link).

As always, NEVER click on a link in an email if you weren’t expecting it, don’t open attachments in an email that you were not expecting, and don’t expose yourself to needless risk by doing stuff on your computer that you don’t need to be doing (and yes, you *DO* need to read this blog!).
Thanks for listening,
Tom
