This is the first post for my mini blog-a-thon. I’m doing it at the invitation of Dr. Mani Sivasubramanian, a pediatric cardiac surgeon in Chennai, India who also happens to be a pretty good marketer and (speaking as a retired soldier) the kind of guy you’d want to share a foxhole with: reliable, dependable, good family man, sense of humor… and he loves to help.
Beyond his marketing activities, Dr. Mani does one impressive thing: he makes it possible for children to live. Beyond his regular work in his hospital, he has invested countless hours raising funds, finding no-cost and low-cost sources of supplies, and getting other doctors involved in his work. The result? Children whose parents could not otherwise afford heart surgery for their children get that surgery. As I essentially put it on another blog I operate, that means that a child gets to live, love, and bring joy to his or her family instead of pain, disappointment, and grief. And if you are a parent (as I am), you know what it means to have a healthy child. Would you consider helping some other parent enjoy the same experience?
So I’m going to kick off my mini blog-a-thon by asking that you click on the graphic (below) and consider making a donation (and if you live in India, it may be tax free; see Dr. Mani’s website for details).
This isn’t some fly-by-night attempt to simply scam you of a few dollars. You can read the stories of children whose lives have been rescued from certain death through the efforts of Dr. Mani and others. You’ll also see a long list of names of people who have already contributed.
So please — before you forget, click on that graphic (above) and consider making a small donation that could make a huge difference.
And now on with the mini blog-a-thon!
Thanks for listening,
Tom
P.S. — I’ve started, Case. There’s no way I could dedicate four hours in the middle of a Saturday!
