I forgot to mention one neat thing that happened at Underground UK.
Yanik always has some sort of quiz and gives prizes to the winners. At
Underground II last year in Washington, DC, someone went home with a
Mini Cooper.
The main prize this time was a day at a closed track driving an Aston
Martin. And this time I finished fifth out of about 200 attendees, so
I got a consolation prize.
And then it turned out that one of the big prize winners could not
drive because he did not have a license, and the first runner up did
not want to drive, either, so that meant that I became one of the
drivers.
Sadly, I could not change my flight reservations, so I, too, had to
pass. Hopefully Yanik let Brian Sherwood go in my place, and I hope to
get some good pictures and a good report soon.
