Mr President,
We don’t need more financial regulation; what we need is adult supervision at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) so that they will do their job instead of spending their work hours surfing the Internet for p.o.r.n…

What good will more rules do? All it will do is “strangle” those honest institutions that provide good service and police themselves (like USAA, the bank of choice for millions of current and former service members, to include myself). The financial institutions that are out of control — you know, the ones that actually CAUSED the crisis by breaking rules and doing truly stupid stuff with the money of millions of Americans — won’t care. They’ll just keep on doing what they did before while your SEC surfs the ‘Net for more porn.
Your “fix” won’t fix anything. Instead of creating more rules that will, in the long run, only hurt the average American, just enforce the rules we have, fire the deadbeat porn surfers and get some true servants in those positions, and make the SEC do its job. I’d get fired from my government contract position if I were to surf for porn; why are those people still working, sucking money from the taxpayers’ treasury, when they produced nothing of value?
Thanks,
Tom
