It’s been a nice day for me. Other than stepping outside my back door for a few minutes to catch a bit of sun, I haven’t had to leave the house today. While I haven’t been able to work on product development — the kids won’t leave me alone, and my “rule” is that they are welcome in daddy’s office at all times (I do product development either after they go to bed or before they wake up) — I have been able to start doing some long overdue cleanup in my office. All of the clutter is a “Fatal Distraction” that does nothing to help me build my Internet business.
Today’s attire consists of a pair of jeans (slightly too large; my wife baked a cheesecake!), a heavy t-shirt, and a jeans shirt on top of that. And my feet? Nothing but well-worn slippers all day.
In other words, no socks. I haven’t needed them because I haven’t left the house (other than that five minute stretch break outside the back door, for which my slippers were more than adequate).
On days that I have to go to my J.O.B., I have to put on socks and shoes. Today I didn’t have to.
I now have another reason to want a Freedom Business — I won’t have to wear socks if I don’t want to because I won’t have to leave the house if I don’t want to.
A socking — er, “shocking” — revelation!
Thanks for listening,
Tom
