Thanks for the kind words, Tom, but a couple things you mentioned are in error.

First, the 5 Bucks a Day book that is included inside Earn1KaDay is the full version, not the lite version. :-)

And it's not that I don't want to continue to provide the content for Daily Seminar, it's that I have plans to step it up a notch on a new site. While Daily Seminar content wasn't really "daily" (only 4 times a week), the new site will in fact have daily content, at a lower price.

I hope you'll be there when we launch in mid-January, my friend.

A 0% interest credit card balance transfer can go a long way in alleviating financial stress. I know that with a lot of Americans the feeling of being overwhelmed can be quite stifling. If you happen to carry a high amount of credit card debt you may feel as though you will never get it completely paid off.

You'll see I responded to you on Twitter also. It's interesting here, but you do know most of the time people who ask you to "go to lunch" are asking for free consulting time. It's rare they want to discuss other things.

You're an exception in that you wouldn't pound them with business questions. That's a HUGE exception in fact.

My solution. Sure I'll go to lunch, but only if we accept up front there will be no discussion of business. I don't want to hear the words Internet or computer.

It's not a working lunch. It's fun time. Maybe we can talk about dogs, or why we love where we live, or Jesus...or your family. But no work. The exceptions of course are current coaching clients - they often do get a free laid back coaching session. But that's another subject.

And you have to count another aspect here. The two you mentioned I'll bet are similar to me in that they are introverts. This means we actually expend energy when we're with people unlike extroverts who get refreshed from being around others. I become tired being around too many others for too long. So let's say I'm doing a seminar. Now I'm risking wearing myself out at lunch (yes even a friendly lunch does take energy out) while others have PAID for the seminar and deserve my full energy.

So there are times I say no because of that second factor. A lot of people with extroverted personalities put down the introverts on that point or simply refuse to understand them (thinking they're rude or unfriendly).

Had exactly the same issue, which was more than a tad annoying (and as you point out, dangerous!) I was running the 32-bit version for Vista, so the same problem exists there.

However, I took your advice and moved to Sumatra PDF Viewer, and ended up with essentially the same problem. Every time I opened a PDF I was asked whether I wanted to associate PDFs with the program. Doing so brought up the UAC, naturally, but it failed to work. Manually adding the association didn't solve the problem, and I even ticked the wrong box on Sumatra's pop-up dialogue box which meant that every time it opened, a UAC request popped up too!

Fortunately a quick fiddle in the registry showed that the system file association wasn't the same as that for the user. I wouldn't want to say if that was the fault of a dirty clean up by Foxit or a lax install by Sumatra, but either way, finding a decent alternative to Adobe turned out to be an arduous journey!

It doesn't really matter what I want in the long run it is what God wants. Besides, Friday eve to Sat. eve is the Sabbath, and It's for my good, anyway. I love the Sabbath.

Thanks for your comment! I'm going to run this current experiment for 24 hours, then decide the next step. While a combo of Clickcha / Akismet does take care of the unwanted stuff, I'm just trying to figure out a way to keep it from hitting my site in the first place (more professional curiosity than anything else).

But Clickcha is a neat plug in, much better than the traditional CAPTCHA, if for no other reason than it is easy to actually make out what's on the image!

Best wishes for continued success,
Tom

Hi Tom,

I am the developer of Clickcha. Thanks for reviewing it on your blog.

The spam you are seeing with Clickcha, are you sure its not pingbacks/trackbacks (Clickcha ignores those)?

I have been using Clickcha on some blogs and so far no bots been able to get past. If someone has broken it I want to know how so it can be fixed. I can send you a debug version of the plugin that will send an email with the post data whenever a Clickcha is solved so I can see whats going on.
