Lots has happened this past week which, when combined together, has led me to return — with motivation! — to the low fat 80/10/10 raw food diet. A friend who has been diagnosed with a terrible brain cancer. An upcoming 12 hours in a coach airplane seat (the less weight, the better!). An adjustment to my spiritual thinking and life (“if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” applies).
The bottom line is that it’s Friday and I haven’t had any cooked food since Tuesday morning.
All of the detox symptoms are back, of course, but it seems as if I’m going through an accelerated detox this time. Within 24 hours, my body was already cleansing itself quite well. Yesterday, I felt as if I had the flu for a couple of hours (a bag of romaine lettuce took care of the icky feeling). And I know that I’ll get the usual ache halfway up my back soon (a colleague on Roger’s raw food forum suggested that it might have to do with your kidneys having to work a bit extra to support your body’s efforts).
But I’m back, I’m motivated, I’m thinking more clearly spiritually… And I hope that I can help and inspire you.

P.S. — New theme today… I’ll be tweaking it in the days and weeks to come. I like the clean look it gives my blog.
