As promised a couple of days ago, I’ve settled on my normal wake-up time for the “wake up every day at the same time” experiment (yeah, I need to work on my project / experiment titles, don’t I?). That time is going to be 4:10 A.M.
Why that time? Because that’s the time that my body wants to wake up. I set my alarm for 4:30 the past couple of mornings (which is way too late to get everything done) but woke up at 4:10 anyway. I decided to fall back asleep both mornings which, of course, means that you lay in bed waiting for the alarm clock to go off…
So this morning I actually set the alarm for 4:10 AM — and literally woke up just seconds before the clock went off. I immediately did a couple of lite stretches in bed, sat on the edge of the bed for a minute, then got up and started about my morning routine.
The experiment has started!
I also want to link to a few posts on Steve Pavlina’s blog (which was what inspired this little experiment in the first place). It can help satisfy your curiosity while giving me a convenient reference point for when I want to review Steve’s research (unlike Steve, I’m a bit more “fly by the seat of your pants” type of guy when it comes to doing stuff… sometimes. The raw food diet did involve some research, study, and preparation; this new experiment is pretty much limited to what I read on Steve’s blog.. hope you’re right, Steve!

Good stuff; go check it out. While I can’t say that I always agree 100% with what Steve says (and there are a couple of things he does that simply make my skin crawl! — but that’s due to who I am and doesn’t mean that Steve is a bad person or anything like that), his blog is worth reading, and even the stuff I don’t agree with makes me think, which I like.
That’s enough for now.
Smacznego,
Tom
